KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTOR CAR. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, October 24. Alexander Clark, a widower, aged 63 years, was knocked down by a motor car in Constable street to-day, and sustained injuries to the head. He was admitted to hospital, and died an hour later. FALL ON PAVEMENT. AUCKLAND, October 24. Thomas Hook, a Customs officer, aged 33 years, is in hospital in a semi-conscious state, due to a fractured skull caused by a fall on the pavement. HORSE OWNER’S DEATH. AUCKLAND, October 24. W. H. Windsor, a horse trainer and owner, died suddenly at a boardinghouse to-day. A lx>ttle containing a fluid preparation was found on his bed. At tho- inquest a verdict of suicide was returned. A STREET FATALITY. INVERCARGILL. October 24. While crossing a street Elizabeth M’Fadzien, aged 72 years, was knocked down by a motor oar. the wheels passing over her body and inflicting injuries from which she died.
