Drunkenness. —James Allan Rowo pleaded guilty to drunkenness and also to using obscene language in a public place (Cumberland street). —He was lined 10s, _in default 24 liouts' imprisonment, on the first charge, and 40s, in default 14 days' imprisonment, on the second;. A Series of Charges.—William Ingram canio ■up for sentence on i.-harges of drunkenness?, broach of his prohibition order, and at tempto defraud by means of false pretences, representing to John Thomas Cooper that he had been rabbiting ut Mount Pioa and tli::t his wife was to undergo an operation. Mr Irwin appeared for the accused, who, on the application of Chief Detective Bishop, was further remanded in custody for n week. Maintenance.—Gertrude fanny Duckmanton (Mr C. J. L. White) applied for an adjournment for a month of an application to vary a. maintenance order against her in respect of o, child in the industrial school. — Bemanded accordingly.
