ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

(Per United- Pbess Association.) GISBORNE, September 14. Jamcp- Farrow, a labourer, was fatally injured at Ormond this afternoon. He went on horseback to assist in controlling a mob of cattle, and -when galloping along his horse either bumped or tripped, and Farrow had his skull fractured, death resulting immediately. SUDDEN DEATH. A man named William Johnston, 70 years of age, living by himself in a small cottage in Fawcott street, South Dunedin, died suddenly at about 5 o’clock yesterday evening. So far as is icnown/ he was in his usual state of health practically until he died. The body was removed to the , Morgue, and an inquest will be held today. A married daughter of the deceased (Mrs A. Peat) lives at Gore, and the police at that town were communicated with and requested to break the news to her.
