ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 14. At Apia, Samoa. August 29 was celebrated as the anniversary of the hoisting of the British flag there. Wreaths were placed on the soldiers’ graves. Colonel Tate, tho Administrator, hold a reception for tho Samoan Chiefs. The flag was raised at tho Courthouse at Apia and a salute of 21 gun* was fired. The Administrator delivered an address, in which he urged the people to place all animosities in the background and pull. together with a view to rnakintr the territory as happy as it was beautiful.
