The members of the Central Mission Choir spent hist Saturday evening at the Octagon Hall as the guosts of their choirmaster, Mr Charles A. Martin. Music, competitions, and games, followed by supper, furnished a most enjoyable evening. The Mornington Presbyterian Literary Society mot on Monday evening. The president (Mr G. Stuart Thomson) presided over a large audience. Inspector Fleming gave an. excellent paper entitled “Friends Worth Cultivating," ably shovying forth in the choice and study of good literature how lives may be enriched, and instancing Iho writings of great men. such as Carlyle, Wordsworth, Browning, and many others.
