SOUTH AFRICAN RAILWAYS ECONOMY PROPOSAL CONDEMNED. Preu Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CAPETOWN, September 11, The Railwaymen’s Union has informed the Government that it will refuse to accept the revised hours of working, involving a withdrawal of the eight-hour day, which was conferred by the labour clause in tho Peace Treaty, and was ratified by Parliament. —A. and N.Z.
