WAR IN ANATOLIA
BATTLE OF SAKARIA. A STALEMATE. BOTH SIDES EXHAUSTED. Preoa Association —By Telegraph—Copyright, CONSTANTINOPLE, September 11. Latest reports indicate that the battle of Sakaria has resulted in a stalemate. Both armies are fought to a standstill and are suffering from transport difficulties. It is considered possible that the Greeks may abandon tho advance on Angora, and withdraw to the westward, as there is now no hope of enveloping any large portion- of the Kemalist forces. Mustapha Kemal has sent Kurds, including members of the Angora Assembly, to the borders of Mesopotamia to stir up the Nationalists there.—Times.
