A Wellington Press Association message says that; tne King has approved the retention of the title “Honourable” by Sir W. Bassett Edwards, Sir Theophilus Cooper, and Air F. R. Chapman, lately judges of the Supremo Court of New Zealand. Dr J. Leslie Will, of Christchurch Hospital, has been granted leave of absence to enable him to spend up to 12 months in Great Britain. On his return he will bo ohieer-in-charge ot the physiotherapeutic department and orthopsedic officer to the hospital. Dr Will will leave tor London this month. Gaptam F. Hudson and Captain R. John Paterson officiating. Mr Justice Herdman left yesterday for the WestGosat to take the Supreme Court sittings there. There was none of the “go-slow policy” about them, as they were all hard-working and industrious to a degree, Messrs T. Johnstone (Kaitangata) and W. Craig also made reference to Air Gamble's long residence at East Taieri, and of tho many services rendered by his fatvulv in the district. Air Gamble made a brief and feeling response. A dainty supper was provided by the ladies of East Taieri, after which there was a dance to music supplied bv Messrs B. Watt, G. Wilson, and J. Wilkie.
