FAREWELL ROSA ALBA
The interest created at last night’s concert by this really fine singer should make music lovers keen on, giving her a lull house as a send-off. Those who heard her sing “Charmant Oiseau” with flute obbligato immediately asked for a repeat at tonight’s performance. Included in the programme arc two of Jenny Lind's favourite songs of the north, one of which the great singer sang in private until the day of her death. Those who like opera will hear “Caro Nome,’’ and the bauaas will satisfy the critical. Rosa Alba received tfiree encores after each item, and those who failed to hear her will miss a treat by remaining away to-night. Miss Alba wisties to leave behind her the pleasantest of memories, and many musical friends.- Those who desire special numbers as encores may ring telephone 2579 and leave their requests or by letter at the concert. Miss Alba, by virtue of her art, voice, personality, and happy manner, charms, and is worthy of Dunedin's hearty support.
