ANNUAL MEETINGS
The annual business meeting -of th« West Harbour (Ravensbourne-St. Leonards) Presbyterian Church was held at Rayensbourno on Wednesday night, the Rev.TA Gray presiding. The session report statecj that the outstanding feature of thi ydajr had been the unprecedented numbor. -of changes which had taken place inthe'riegsonnel of the congregation. So Jnanjr of the older members and active workers of the church had removed to other districts that almost every branch of church work had to be reorganised. The difficulty was most poignantly felt in the Sunday schools and Bible classes, and there was still seed, of some more male workers there. Tas average attendance at church had; never r theless, been well maintained, and it waif gratifying to see so many young people and children attending the services.' ’the finances were in a healthy condition, and compared favourably with former years. There was now no .debt on the church pro* perty. Reports of the women’s organisations and young people’s societies snowed that these were being actively carried'on! and had marked progress in spite' of. *8 the changes which had taken place.' sX The sixteenth annual meeting of the St. Kilda Lawn Tennis Club was held on Thursday evening. Mr J. .1. Marlow-.-(thi* president) occupied the ehnir, and there was a largo attendance of members. la moving the adoption of the annual report, Mr Marlow eongratulated the club on-' its progress. The whole of the debentures owing at- the beginning of last season had repaid, and the club had no dehte-to mSt in the future—its financial position -W&a thoroughly satisfactory.
