PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.
The regular meeting of the Peninsula Road Board was held on Saturday last, and was attended by Messrs J. Aitken (chairman), T. Landreth, and W. Stewart. Mr E. S. Allan wrote stating that Mr Monk, the Public Works Engineer, had inspected the road from Camp road to Company Bay, and had approved of the work carried out, and recommended that the surfaceman should attend to the metal until it became solid. It was resolved to instruct the surfaceman to attend to the new culverts and water tables at Sandymount at once, and to attend to the repairs on the Main .road, at Harbour Cone, Sandymount, and Sea Point road. - A letter from the manager of the Bank of Now Zealand, intimating that the rate of interest on the bank overdraft would bo increased to 7 per cent, from August 1, 1921, was received. The Department of Internal Affairs forwarded Gazette notice of increased fees payable by local authorities to the Audit Office for arbitral ion and special or ordinary audits.—Received.
