Played for South Island against North Island this year. A rugged forward, with a fine turn of speed. R. Fogarty (emergency), aged 28, height weight 13.3. Learned his football in Dunedin and was a member of the Union Club. Represented Otago in 1914 arid Taranaki in' 1920; was a member of the Now Zealand Army team that won the King’s Cup in England, and then toured South Africa, E. Roberts (Athletic), age 28, height sft 6in, weight 11.4; five-eighth (emergency). Probably the best-known present-day footballer in the dominion ; commenced football with the St. James Club, afterwards going to Athletic; his long list of honours includes New Zealand representative 1913-14-20, North Island representative 1910-11-12-13-14-19-20-21; Wellington representative many times since 1910; he has captained numerous teams; in big football usually playfid as half back.
