“CHICKENS”
Tho story of Douglas MacLean’a latest Paramount luce comedy, "Chickens,”, which is to be sliiown at the Empire Theatre today, is lamiliar to the readers of the Saturday Evening Post, wherein it recently appeared under the title of “Yanoonna Yil- , lies.” Herschel S. Hall is the author. Versatility, a keen sense of humour; and aa' individual style have won for Hall tinction of being one of the most, writers of tho country. "Chickens;” wjutfh was written in an entirely vaut from the tales of tho Pittsburg Steal; which established the author’s vogue- a« a writer, was received with enthusiasm. -Agnes Christine Johnston, author of many of Douglas Mao Lean’s and Charles Bay’s most popular successes, adapted the story, and has lost .none of the author’s fine humour or dramatic situations. _ The big Paramount play, "Paying the Piper,” continues to attract record crowds. This will also be shown until Monday night.
