BIG PURCHASE BY BRITISH CONCERN. Pimm Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, August 10. (Received August 10, at 9.30 p.m.) The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Chronicle says that the Forestal Land, Timber, and Railway Company, a British concern, has purchased Renner’s Hamburg tanning and dye works, paying 5750 marks , lor each thousand mark share; totalling 14,000,000 marks. The Germans drew the bulk of their raw materials from Argentina. The Forestal Company’s operations are world-wide. The company has a capital of more than £5,000,000. — A. and N.Z. Cable.
