Press Association— By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, March 18. (Received March 18, at 11.30 p.m.)Mike O’Dowd failed to regain his lost middleweight championship title from Johnny Wilson, the present holder, who last night received the referee’s decision in a 15round bout. Wilson’s superiority was sufficiently great to impress the spectators with the improbability of O’Dowd ever recapturing the crown. The bout was fast and interesting, but not spectacular. Wilson received a purs© of 40,000 dollars, and O'Dowd 20.000 dollars. It is recalled! that the last time Wilson fought in New York his purse was only 11 dollars.—A. and N.Z. Cable. BOWLING.
