COURSING, ARRANGEMENTS FOB WATERLOO CUP. The council of the National Coursing Association of New Zealand met last evening; Mr B. S, Irwin presided. An application for affiliation was granted to the Cambridge Coursing Club, and permission given to run a meeting in the open on March 26 and 28. The Hamilton Coursing Club wrote stating that 82 payments had been received from New Zealand leashmen for the Australasian Waterloo Cup, to he run in August next. A letter was received fnm Mr Richard Coombas (Sydney) to the effect that the Australian nominations would be very numerous, despite the fact that the expense to dog-owners would bo heavy. With the assistance from the Australian States it is anticipated that the total nominations will reach 100. It was decided to point out to the Hamilton Club that the cards relating to the Cup, fixture which have been distributed have been so altered that dog-bwnere may be confused as to the stakes guaranteed. The council considered it advisable to have definite information. on the point. It was aleo agreed to ask the Hamilton Club to submit the names of a deputy judge and an assistant slipper. • The council agreed to purchase a cup to the value of £25, which is to be presented to the owner of the winner.—Mr L. Buttledgo generously donated a handsome gold-mounted tie-pin to be given to the trainer of the Cup winner. The annual meeting of the ooan.'tl was set down for April 23.
