Some very pointed remarks {says the Wanganui Chronicle) were made at a meeting of the Wanganui Education Board on Wednesday last by Mr Hemingway in regard to the results of the recent junior national scholarhip examinations. He said that from the small numbers that got through, either the examination was too stiff or the method of compiling the marks was unfair. Out of the thousands who sat, about 90 got through. It seemed as if they did not want to let them through.
