CRICKET.

The weather was fine on Saturday, and some good scores were registered. Playing for Grange. Albert Keast continued his not-out innings, and hit up 114 before he was finally bowled by Nelson. OARISBROOK-UNIVERSITY v. MORNINGTON. This match was concluded at Carisbrook on Saturday, and resulted in a three-point win for Carisbrook-University. In their first innings Carisbrook (10 players) had made 183, Momington relying with 141. Batting nine men only in their second strike Carisbrook made IftO, and the two Alloos went through the Momingtop side in quick style, the hill men being all out for the small total of 67. The fielding of some of the Momington men again left much to bo desired. Scores:-OABIBBEOOK-UNIVEESITy. First Innings 183 Second Innings. Foster, b R. Anderson 13 H. C. Alloo, run out 37 A. W. CARISBROOK. In. the first innings of this match, which was played oh the North Ground. Carisbrook made 195, and Grange had three wickets down for 207 runs (Keast not out 76 and Galland not out 40). / Keast took his innings to 114 before he was bowled by Nelson. Included in 'his soore were a 6 and 18 4’s. The innings dosed for 362 runs. Carisbrook made 173 runs in their second strike, their total thus being six runs in front of the Grange’s Single innings. Grange therefore only gained a two-point win. A foolish position has apparently arisen over this match (that is, if the scoring is correct). Grange had plenty of time to go in and get the tax runs required, but they were under the impression that they had already a, load of three or four runs, and had secured a three-point win.
