CARTER THE GREAT
Two perrormances were given by Carter the magician at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday 1 here was one m the afternoon specially for children, which was well patronised and much enjoyed by young and old a".ke, and another m tho evening, when tho spectators were completely mystified by the clever deceptions practised and the wonderfully clever sleight-of-hand displayed Carter is' certainly amongst the very foremost in his profession, and puzzles while ho entertains tile public. To-day there will be another afternoon performance, and the_ final appearance will bo made in the evening.
