PEARCE DIVORCE CASE
CONTEMPT OF COURT ALLEGED,
(Peb United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. September 25 Strong comment was made during Chamber proceedings beforo the Chief Justice by Mr Myers, counsel for Mrs Pearco, in a successful action for divorce against G V Pearce, ex-M-P. for Patea, on tho absence of the respondent, who, it was alleged, had committed flagrant contempt of court in being a party to his youngest daughter Hazel Pearce leaving tho dominion against an order of the .court c iving the mother the custody of the daughter. It was alleeed that the Government had granted tho dauchter a, permit to loavo the dominion despite representations. v His Honor adjourned the matter for a fortnight-.to enable communication to bo made with Pearce, who is now supposed to be in Japan.
