Tiie Tarawera is timed to leave Wellington to-day for Sydney, Newcastle, and loada ™ a return cargo for Bluff and Dunedin, The Kamona arrived at Auokalnd at 7 p m on Friday from Weetport, and her subsequent movements are not yet fixed. The Kini arrived at Westport at 10 o'clock on i'nday mgbt from Gisborne, and was expeoted to get away from Weetport on Saturday night for TimarH and Dunedin. The Waipori sailed from Wellington at 7 a.m. on Saturday for Napier. After discharging cargo she proceed© to Westport to load coal for Wellington and Lyttelton. _ The Corinna is expected to leavo New Plymouth to-day for Wellington and Dunedin. .She will load here approximately on .Thursday next for Nelson, New Plymouth and via ports. THE WESTRALIA. The Huddart-Parker steamer Westralia, ■which arrived in the stream at Wellington on Friday from Melbourno direct, encountered a heavy gnle in the Tasman Sea, which necessitated the vessel being hove-to for six hours. The Westralia left Melbourne at 3 p.m. on Friday week, and at once ran into a southerly gale and rain squalls. The gale gradually increased, and the vessel shipped a quantity of water which, smashed tho starboard companionway. -At 11.30 o'olock on Monday night Captain Morris hove his ehip to until 5.30 aon. on Tuesday. The pale somewhat moderated, but contijraod until arrival.
