CAN YOU TELL? There is an impression abroad that, if you pay big money for a suit of clothes everyone can recogniso the fact. This is a mistake, and it arises from the notion too generally held that value is represented by money paid. A suit is not neoessarily cheap docause it cost comparatively little; but it is cheap, in tho better sense, if, liko a Penrose made-to-measure, it can stand comparison, in sunlight or under the electric lamp, with those "turnouts" which cost tvrico as much.
