MELBOURNE, June 4. The Prince attended a garden party In the afternoon, a dinner by the Melbourne 01 lib in the evening, and a Nations' Ball at St.* Kilda at night, completing five engagements on Thursday. (Received June 4, at 11.5 p.m.) Continuing his tour, the Prince reached Castlemaine, whore a .welcome change in the routine was made. Instead of a Royal parade through the streets, the people marched past the Prince, who was watching from the platform. Ho then procepdq*] to Bendigo, whore he was enthusiastically received, and later he returned to Melbourne. SYDNEY, June 4. A feature to be introduced into the Royal procession will be the participation of 1000 light horsemen. Material alterations in the Sydney programme are likely to result from the postponement. The peoplo are desirous that the Renown should enter Sydney Harbour at 9 a-m. on June 16, but her navigating officers fear iog, which idea is scouted by the local' organisers. The Premier objected to an alternative scheme to enter tho previous afternoon.
