{Per United Press „ Association.) . AUCKLAND. Mav 81. Twenty-four Hindus have arrived by the Atua from Fiji. All have passed the education test. A boat belonging to the missing scow Kahu haa been found at the Little Barrier. The Kahu left- the Bay of Plenty on May 14 just before a very heavy gale prevailed. The influenza cases reported for the 24 hours number 122—an increase of 41. The public schools will continue' to be oloeed indefinitely. GREYMOUTH, May 21. This morning the Hon. J. G. Coates (Minister of Public Works) paid a visi* to Ten Mile Creek, a dangerous soot on the Barrytown road. On his return he received a deputation from local bodies, when tho obsolete telephone system was brought under the Minister's notice. The deputation received a sympathetic hearing.
