THEOSOPHY.
» Mr D. W. M. Burn occupied the platform of the Theosophical Society on Sunday, taking as his subject "The Resurrection and the Life." The resurrection, the speaker said, could be taken as a symbol of man's' breaking of the fetters of limitation ere reaching the perfect state. One of these fetters was the restlessness of the mind, "the lunatic, wandering mind,"_ as it had been described. Man liiriited himself and did not realise his full divinity. We were in reality foci of God's strength, and not separated selves. There was grievous need of help in the world to-day. In every one of us was the godhood' to be wakened, so would we become victors over sin and death. But we had not yet mastered the matter -we came to master, nor until that time would we enter into tho righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
