LIEUTENANT PARER AT FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES. Press Aeaocintaon— By Telegraph—Copyright. CALCUTTA, April 1. Lieutenant Parer arrived at Rangoon from Akyab on Friday afternoon. Lieutenants Parer and M'lntosh are making their flight under financial difficulties. They have expended all their resources in improving their machine, and were sometimes compelled to resort to manual labour to buy oil. They also raised fluids by exhibition flights. Better arrangements have been completed for the balance of their journey.—A. and N.Z. Cable. ACCIDENT AT MOULMEIN. PLANE BADLY DAMAGED. ANOTHER AVIATOR MEETS WITH ■ MISHAP.* DELHI, April 4. LieutenanlG Parer and M'lntosh crashed at Moulmein, owing to a forced landing when trying to avoid the crowds rushing to the racecourse. The aeroplane was badly damaged. It will resume its flight as soon as repairs have been effected. Ferranni, the Italian aviator, while landing after a trial flight at Rangoon, damaged the under-carriage of his machine. Ho must remain five or six days while repairs are being carried out.—Reuter. M. POULET AT MOULMEIN. MACHINE NEEDS REPAIRING. PARIS, April 4. M. Poulet has arrived at Moulmein, Lower Burma. His machine needs repairs, and also the replacement of several important parts. He hopes to reach Australia by April 20. M. Cenoisi, his mechanic, is returning to France.—A. and N.Z. Cable. ' A. FATAL CRASH. CAIRO, April 4. (Received April 5, at 10.5 p.m.) A Royal Air Force Handley-Page aeroplane crashed north of Atbara. The crew of four were killed. There are no details as to their identity.—Reuter. TWELVE THOUSAND HORSEPOWER MACHINES. NEW YORK, April 5. (Received April 5, at 10.50 p.m.) Signor Saproni, an Italian aeronaut engineer, has arrived in New York with plans for the construction of 12,000 hprsepower aeroplanes capable of carrying 400 or 500 passengers.—A. and N.Z.
