Owing to the dry state of the ground at the end of January the fall was not sufficient to keep the ground reasonably moist, and a good downpour of rain would be very welcome. Turnip crops are looking well, but pastures axe very bare. , WOODLAND®, March 2. The rainfall registered here for the 24 hours ended 8 a.m. to-day wtb 6 points.
