PLAZA THEATRE
The old proverb "Fools and Their Money" is -the title of the leading picture in the change of programme at the Plaza Theatre. The picture is a Metro comedydrama ..featuring Emmy Wefolen. The story has to do -with the Tompkin's family, who had no social aspirations until the father made millions in munitions. Then Mrs Tompkins begins to have an ambition to fet into smart society. Fortune is with er when she mistakes Louise Allenby (Miss Wehlen), the beautiful daughter of her aristocratio neighbours, for a social secretary. Louise keeps up the delusion, and accepts thesituation offered by the muchbedeoked and,. bejewelled lady. She is enabled to save the family _ from being victimised, and. finally falls in love with young Dick Tompkins, and marries him. Incidentally Mrs Tompkins gains her greatest desire.
