(Peb United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, February 27. Admiral Halsoy has accepted tho Auckland Harbour Board's offer to berth H.M.S. Renown at tho Queen's wharf on tho occasion of tho Prince of Wales's visit to that city. At the Methodist Conference to-day the. following laymen wero elected to tho Stationing Committee: —Messrs .H. Field and A. J. Booth, Vosper, Tidd, E Dixon, W. Ambury, T. li. Hodder, C. Newton, Martin, Donald, Penny, Lucas, Blackwell, Dobbs, Watson, Andrews, Roscvear, Jameson, Froggat, and G. T. Stead. Mr W. S. .Stone, of Auckland, was, after threo ballots, elected as additional representative. The stationing of ministers will present considerable difficulties this year. The ministerial members of the committee had been previously appointed, and consist of (ho chairmen of districts and a minister representing each district. The first reading of stations will be taken on Monday. Several applications for admission to the ministry and some resignations were referred to a special committee. Tho conference then resolved itself into various committees to prepare for the work of the conference. The information was laid by the secretary of the Ohristchurch branch of tho New Zealand Dental Association. Tho magistrate convicted Ozanne and inflicted a line of 40s.
