GRANGE CLUB. Tho forty-second annual mcctingi of tho brang" Cricket Club was held on Tuesday night Mr A. Restieaux (vice-president) occupied tho chair. In moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, the- chairman made reference to the ciul:n K of tlio war, and welcomed liome the riLurned members. Malcolm at tno front, remarking that ho considered him the most promising batsman in Otago. lio congratulated the Second Grado team on -winning the competition, and the First (Trade team on being runners-up. He impressed upon the members tho necessity of putting* plenty of energy into cricket this season. Ho also referred to a performance by a boy (Sanson), who, against second grade bowling, finished the season with an average of 11.50. Ho congratulated the secretary on his activities and on being ablo to show a balance afb;r so many lean seasons. Mr G. Nelson, in seconding the motion, complimented tho club on the performances but trusted that tho players -would not lack practioo, as the opposition this year would be much stronger. Mr Chadwick referred to the state of the pavilion, and said he hoped the matter would bo gone into. The motion was carried. Kight now members were elected.
