ARTHUR GORDON RECITALS
.«*. Arthur Gordon, who comes direct from the Milan and Paris conservatoires, will givo two violin recitals in Burns Hall next; baturday and Tuesday. He will be assisted by such well-known artists as Mrs Astley Black and Miss Vera Moore. Mr Gordon is a native of Auckland, and during the last eight years has been studying abroad under ' tho distinguished violinists —Y6ayo and Cffisar Thompson. Speaking of his performance in that city the Auckland Star states: "The talented young violinist presented a programme embracing many styles and periods of musical ideas proving himself equal to the difficult task undertaken. He has a-, good tone, fine command of the bow, and his interpretation of the solos displayed sympathy for his subject and the right atmosphere." The box plans are now on view at the Bristol.
