APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS. WHILE OF ACTIVE SERVICE. The following appouitnionte, promotions, and transfers of officers oil active service with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force have rcccived approval: — CANTERBURY MOUNTED RIFLES. Sccond Lieutenant N. C. Sheridan is granted the temporary rank of lieutenant whilst attached to the New Zealand Provost Corps. OTAGO MOUNTED RIFLES. Second Lieutenant A. W. Johnston to be lieutenant. FIELD ARTILLERY. Major E. 11. Northcroft, from Assistant Director of Education (United Kingdom.) to be Director of Education, N.Z.E.F., vioe Lieutenant-colonel (temporary colonel) H. Stewart, D.5.0., M.0., Canterbury Regiment, relinquished the appointment, and is granted the temporary rank of lieutenantcolonel whilst so employed. Second Lieutenant (temporary captain) 11. E.
