Tho Advisory Board of the Transport Federation has intimated that it will handle the Auckland tramway officers' dispute from now onwards, taking- whatever steps may bo deemed necessary to effect a satisfactory issbe. TRAMWAY OFFICERS? DECISION. NOTICE TO STRIKE GIVEN. (Pbr Uhitsd Peuos As^ociatioh.] AUCKLAND, May 26 Members of the Auckland Tramway Officers' Union decided at a meeting tonight to cease work if the dispute between the union and the company is not eettled within 14 days. Intimation to this effect is being sent to tho company, and has already been signed by a majority of tho members of tho union. As tho union compnses tho powerhouse staff, car and ticket inspectors, tticir ceasing work would entail a stoppage of the tramway service.
