PEACE CELEBRATIONS

Ihe question of tho tramway service to bo mam tamed here during tile days of the peace celebrations will coino before the Citv council at its next meeting. The Tramway s_ Committee has oonsidered the matter, and is making the foOowing report: ~ A_coinmumcaiion has baen received from tho Union suggesting modifications in the time-table for the peace celebration days ihe committee is, .however, of the opinion that tho arrangements proposed by the union would not provide a suilicient or suitfi° , s< rf VlC . c > and begs to recommend tliat the following arrangements, suggested bv tu° i i l lrmv i ais maDa ° or ' adopted :—(1) On the Monday, the service to run from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., from 4.30 p.m. to 730 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to last car. (2) On tno_iue;;daj, tho service to run from 7 a.m to 1.00 p.m., from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to last car. (3) That all available cars be manned (4) That at all times of hca\=7 loading the scrvico be. .run from tho north-to Frederiok street on tlie i go^ strc i ct lino ' . to tho railway station on the Castlo street line, and from the south to tho shed points.
