Cabie. RIOTS IN AMERICA. SEVERAL PEOPLE INJURED. NEW YORK, May 2. The New York World's Boston correspondent states that three policemen" were shot and a number of. persons injured in the May Day riots between the soldiers and sailors Mid the Labour Radicals.—A. and N.Z. Cable. DISTURBANCES IN FRANCE. LARGE CASUALTY LIST. PARIS, May 2. (Received May 4, at 5.5 p.m.) The night passed quietly. Two hundred and fifty police were wounded, 115 seriously. The civilian casualties are not stated. The crowd used revolvers at several points, and one person was shot dead at the Place Opera.. The injuries were chiefly due to sabres, batons, and sticks. A meeting of tho General Confederation of Labour condemned the Government's action. It will meet to-day to consider the situation. The Socialists will interpellate the Government when the Chamber meets. -*&. and. N.Z. Cable.
