THREAT BY SOLDIERS
TERRORISING THE AUTHORITIES. .. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. HALIFAX, March 12. (Received March 16, at 11 p.m.) Seventy American-born soldiers belonging to the Canadian army terrorised the immigration authorities at this port by threatening to sink a ship on which they were aboard unless allowed to enter, the United States. The men were unable to prove that they were of American citizenship, and -were" rfefused entrance. Later the soldiers were allowed, to proceed to New York, with a view to. the presentation of a case on their behalf to the American Government.—A. v and N.Z. Cable.
