INTERNATIONAL LABOUR' COMMISSION.
PARIS, January 22. Mr Barnes (Minister without portfolio) said in the course of an interview: " The conference, when dealing with the League of Nations, will simultaneously appoint an International Labour Commission to devise machinery for handling international problems.—A. and N.Z. Cable. REPRESENTATION OF DOMINIONS. PARIS, January 24. At the conference the dominion representatives discussed at length the question of separate recognition in the League of Nations without yet reaching a settlement. ORDER OF SPEAKERS. PARIS, January 23. (Received Jan. 26, at 6.5 p.m.) Mr Lloyd George will initiate the League of Nation's discussion at Friday's plenary session, President Wilson will foland it is expected that M. Bourgemis, General Smuts, and Lord Robert Cecil will also expound their views. The conference will then appoint a special commission to examine various schemes, and will also appoint a commission to investigate the question of indemnities.—A. and N.Z. Cable. THE POSITION OF NEUTRALS. LONDON, January 23. (Received Jan. 26, at 5.30 p.m.) _ Mr Keith Murdoch says it has been decided that neutrals will not be invited to join the League of Nations. DISPUTED TERRITORY QUESTIONS. PARIS, January 23. (Received Jan. 26, at 5.30 p.m.) It is believed that the British delegates have agreed to submit the German colonies and other , -disputed territory to the League of Nations. * The United States wQI submit a plan in connection with the League of Nations, comprehending the total abandonment of submarines as instruments of war and the destruction of existing submarines in the possession of all nations joining the League of Nations.—A. and N.Z.
