"OAMARU'S LEADING DOCTOES."
TO THB EDITOR. ' Sib, —The good-joke which, you imprinted from the North Otago Times in yesterday's " News in Brief " about one of the leading ;V doctors of Oamaru who unknowingly hired himself out to carry a passenger at a cheaper rate than the Ipcai taxi-man mnfifc • surely be a canard. A car can bo hired at • half the rate presented by the British Medical Association as the usual mileaes foe, and therefore this leadin» dootor would be working at less than half the ordinary tariff and shamefully undercutting- .his brother practitioners. For the good name of the leading: doctors of Oamaru this story should bo either explained or denied. —I am, eta, Medico.
