ROME, January 22. (Received Jan. 24, at 11.50 p,m.) Breaking from tradition, the Catholics have formed a political organisation known as the Italian Popular Party. It is claimed that it is not controlled by the Vatican, and has drawn up an advanced platform! The movement is regarded as an important token in conjunction with rumoured attempts to find a new formula to govern the relations between the Vatican and the Quirinal. —Reuter.
