WASHINGTON, January 23. The Serbian Bureau announces that the Italians seized a Jugo-Slav vessel the Dinara, which was flying the American flag.—A. and N.Z. Cable. EXPLOSION NEAR GHENT. AMMUNITION DUMP BLOWN UiP. GERMANS ARRESTED NEAR ifONS. LONDON, January 22. (Received Jan. 25, at 0.25 a.m.) A series of terrific explosions alarmed the Ghent countryside. A munition dump was blown up, destroying two kilometres of the main Ostend-Brussels railway. Peasants in the adjoining villages fled terrified. . Several Germans were arrested near Mons, disguised as women. A British sentry shot a German attempting to escape.

. LONDON, January 23. (Received Jan. 25, at 0.25 a.m.) A large meeting, representing 100,000 women clerks in Government offices carried a resolution urging that independent women ought to be demobilised, -women, with dependents retained longest, and a six-honr day be introduced.—A. and N Z Cable.
