"HEARTS OF THE WORLD."

, This evening at 8 o'clock J. O. "Williamson \ (Ltd.) will present the stupendous D. W. Griffith motion picture drama, "Hearte of the World," which has broken all the records established by "Intolerance" and "The Birth of a Nation" in New York, London, and Australia. It is stated that it. is quite impossible to give even a email idea of the magnitude of Mr Griffith's latest and best triumph. The fact that "Hearts of the World" was taken at the express direction of the British and French War Offices and that Mr Griffith and his principal artists were in the actual firing line for several months, during which period Mr Griffith was twice wounded by shrapnel shells, has naturally added to th'e interest which is always taken in a Griffith production. Mr Lloyd George took a heart interest in the manufacture of the Griffith mm, and he overcame all obstacles in regard to the visit of the artists to the firing lines. "Hearts of the World" is said to be the most wonderftil photo production the world's history of the motion picture has ever known. The most stirring battle scenes—actual views of war—ever screened appear in the picture. The onlooker is taken from the quiet simplicity of a French village on to the great battlefields, we see lines of batteries, fleets of tanks and aircraft, rushing lines of soldiers, we are taken into the French and German trenches, and the duty of the Allies is impressed upon them in a way that can never be forgotten. Children will find special interest in "Hearts of the World," not only from, its wonderful spectacular panoramas and intensely interesting patriotic story, but also because they will thoroughly enjoy the really brilliant acting of young Ben Alexander, who in the rolo of the 12-year-old French hero, displays rare histrionic powers. Tfae characters in "Hearts of the World" are portrayed by some of the best screen artists, including Dorothy and Lillian. Gish, Robert Harron, George Siegmann, Josephine Crowell, Robert Anderson, George Fawcett, and Gfctlo Ben Alexander. A notable feature will be the magnificent operatic orchestra, which will play specially written music. The plans are now on view at the Bristol.
