Waiotahi: Work at the Waiotahi No. 2 section has been confined to picking up tho mouth of the low lpvel. Ohinomuri Gold and Silver Mines: North blook—No. 5 stopo on tho Queen reef was advanced 10ft from tho main rise last week. The resf is sft>, wide. The ore is of a high grade, rich telluride showing freely. The Julia <Lrive has been extended to 28ft. THE SHARE MARKET. DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. At tho beginning of this week business was rather on tho slack side on "Change but at tho end a good number transact turns took place. Thdre was a good run on Huddart-Parker (ord.) shares yesterday, arid altogether five parcels of shares changed hands, with further buyers offering £1 18s £d and a seller holding out for Id more. Several parcels of Mount Lyells have been sold, one sale of Westport Coals at £1 lis f.s° 01 } e of Dominion Rubbers at £1 12s W have also taken place. Sales of Mosgiel Woollens, Bank of Australasia, and New Zealand Refrigerating shares have been reported Among dredging stocks, Electrics have shown a slight firming tendency; while in Itise and Shine shares the same tendency has boen most marked. At the beginning oi the week Talisman Consolidated <£sed to s ° m ° oxtont, but yesterday they firmed slightly. In the investment stock market, Bank of New Zcalands (£6 13s 4d paid), which fell away so rapidly at the end of last week, have again risen to their normal Va j w , ere yesterday quoted at £18 ana ±,18 Bs, buyer and seller respectively. JNe-w Zealand Insurances have again come cown, and wero sought yesterday at £11, without a seller. South British Insurances have firmed slightly, but Standards have remained steady. Dominion Rubbers aro still on a rising market, tho latest quotation for buyer and seller being £1 13s 6d and £1 14s 6d respectively.
