WAR MEDALS AND WAR BADGES.

TO THE EDITOB. Sir, —With reference to tho letter by " Demobilised" on tho above subject, I am surprised that the Returned Soldiers' Association has not taken this matter up before now. The bigger its membership tho better its chance of "a square deal," and surely .we are entitled to some littlo bit of recognition. Many men (myself included) volunteered'.for active 6ervico early in the waT, and were rejected;. but wore passed fit when called in tho ballot, and sent to camp. Yet we ero not to be allowed either to wear a badge.or to have any privilege under tho discharged soldiers' settlement, scheme, although tho Government professes to be anxious to get the people to go on tho land.—l am, ©to., ■ ANOTHBB DMammpSmnm
