NUMBER OF SAILINGS FIXED.
MIXED CARGOES COMING

. CHRIiSTCHURCH. November 27. It is reported in Christchurch that 15 steamers have left New York for New Zealand waters. Inquiries at the local shipping offices failed' to confirm the report, but the opinion is_ expressed in shipping- circles that it is not improbable. XT^ r Bennett (general manager of the INew Zealand Shipping Company) stated that his company had fixed the departure of 12 or 15 sailing vessels from America for New Zealand or Australia, and these were all the sailings his company had fixed. Those vessels should begin to arrive early in the new year. They would- have mixed cargoes. Ihe company expected to have most of its own steamers back by April or May
