ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
(Pee United Press Association.) AUCKLAND. October 11. A ship's fireman named William Farron. a native of London, was drowned this evening through falling off tho gangway. Another man also fell into the water, but was rescued HAWTSRA, October 11. Alex. Main, married, aged 34 years, whilo riding_ a motor cycle into town, collided with the mail train this morning. His right arm and collarbone and two ribs were broken. His condition is serious. Mr Frederick Borley, aged 54 years, who waa on a visit from Christchurch to his son at Green Island, died suddenlv on Thursday morning. His daughter-in-law heard him knocking on the wall of his room, and went in, to find him sitting up in a choking condition. He was assisted to a chair near the door for fresh air, but died in a few minutes. At an inquest before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., a verdict of death from heart failure was returned.
