French eastern communique: French and Serbian troops continue with extreme vigour to pursue the beaten Austro-Ger-mans in Southern Serbia.
The Serbs on Tuesday entered Kovatz, taking 500 prisoners. The Allies, advancing on Prizrend, put enemy detachments to flight. In Albania we continue to advance towards Elbasan, driving back the Austrian rearguards.
MACKENgEN'S HEADQUARTERS,

It is reported that Mackensen has established his headquarters at Belgrade, and that he has 250,000 German and Austrian troops, mostly drawn from Rumania. SERBIAN GOVERNMENT RETURNS. LONDON, October 10. The Serbian Government is quitting the island of Corfu for Uskub. ALLIED ADVANCE DELAYED. DIFFICULTY OF MAINTAINING COMMUNICATIONS. LONDON, October 10. (Received Oct. 12, at 0.15 &.m.) The Allied advance in Serbia is meeting with considerable difficulty owing to the lengthening of communications, bad roads, and congested Bulgarian transport. The disarmament of the Bulgars is proceeding satisfactorily.
