MINING.

The Waihi Gold Mining Company, during the period ended September 7, crushed and treated 14,697 tons- of ore for a return of bullion valued at £25,213. Compared with the return for the corresponding period of last year, -when 15,626 tons yielded £27.101, this shows a decrease of £1888. The total amount won from the mine to date is £12,107.9*0, and dividends, etc., paid total £5,053,318 4s Bd.
