Sliles. who lias been reported killed] in action in France on August 26 was the eixth «m of Mr T. J. Miles, of 39 Reid read, Soirtli Dunedin. Ho was born in Lawrence, and was educated ai the Albany Street aaia Kensington Schools. Ho took a keen interest in football, and played for the Zingari-Riohiuond Fourth Grade for two seasons. He left New Zealand with the Ninth Reinforcements, and was wounded ill December, 1017, returning to Franco early in May. Ono brother, who loft with the Main Body, was killed on GeJlipolL, and a.uothor brother, who left with the Twelfth Reinforcements, is still at the front. Private Andrew Dins-wall Jamieson, killed in action on September 2, volunteered for the Fourteenth Reinforcements, but w-as rejected. He was drawn in the second ballot, and was then passed fit., leaving with the Twenty-fifth Reinforcements. He underwent an operation in England, and went to Franco last April. He »as tho fourth son of Mrs E. Jomiesra, of Dundee. He received his education there, and can» to 'New Zealand about seven years ago. Ho wus a motor mechanic by occupation. His two elder brothers wero in the Main Body. One was wounded at Gnllipcli, and rehwined to New Zealand), and Regimental Sersoa.tit-raajoT VT. Janjieeon is an instructor at Sling Camp. Another brother nnrn-ed George is c. member of the Black Watch, Dundee's O\m. The ncxt-of-kin of Private John Little Herlow. who has been killed in action, ie his sister <Mts Elizaboth. M.
