MINING.

What is regarded as a rich vein of arsenic has been discovered by Mr L. E. Krushka, at Ringarooma (Tasmania). . Assays of the stone in which the arsenic appears are said to have proved satisfactory. Mr Krushka states that there appears to be a large deposit of pure arsenic in a dyke; while he has also discovered a lode containing gold, silver, and copper. The information as to this discovery,-however, is rather meagre. Dominion Day was observed as a holiday on the Dunedin Stock Exchange.
