Tho annual social gathering of the Fast Taieri Church was held in tho church hall last evening. There was a good attendance and the choir and frrands submitted a firstrate programme. Tho Rev. D. Calder, who at present is Moderator in the vacancy at East Taieri, presided, and gave an interesting account of his exner : ences in conducting services in outlying parts of New Zealnnd. Songs were sung by Mrs Mi'nro Missos Den ford. Bates, and Owens, and Mr Henderson; while Miss Patrick gave pome excellent recitations.
